Cindy O’Keefe
Born in North Carolina but raised most of my life in Illinois. Graduated from Skidmore College in upstate New York with a Business Marketing degree and a Studio Art minor. My first job was with Bambergers ( a subsidiary of Macys) as a Department Manager. This is where I first met my husband Dennis. Then I transferred into their Advertising department where I worked in their Corporate offices in Newark NJ.
Dennis and I were married in 1986 and soon afterwards we were transferred to Atlanta to work for Macys South… Dennis as a Shoe Buyer and myself as a Sr Advertising Manager. Worked for Macys for about another 5 years until I decided to stay home and raise my two daughters… Kaitlyn , who is now a Assistant Director of Housing at UGA and Shannon, who is a VP and Creative Director at Abshire PR in Savannah. Decided to go back to work after the kids were in High School. I started working for Corporate Events Unlimited in 2009 as part time event staff. In 2010, I started working full time as an Event Coordinator with my main focus on Staffing and Event Production. After about 5 years, I went back to part time status and began working as an Event Director. A few years ago, I added on the responsibilities pertaining to the creative aspects of event planning….which I have absolutely loved…. I guess you could say that I’m CEU’s Creative Director!!! 😊Creativity is a key component of my life from creating centerpieces and decor looks for our events to painting and drawing in my free time. I also enjoy golfing and traveling with my husband, spending time with my family and my dog Darcy , and gardening.
It’s been a privilege to be a part of Corporate Events Unlimited for 13 years ! I LOVE what I do, I LOVE that every day is different, I LOVE getting to meet and work with so many different people and I LOVE that the people that I work with are like family!
